The F1-75 – 75 Years of Ferrari

The F1-75 - a race car named to celebrate an iconic 75 years of Ferrari road cars, with Enzo Ferrari’s 125 S, his first creation, being built in 1947. There was no better way to commemorate F1’s longest serving and often deemed most successful team, than designing a car that was made to celebrate the Ferrari name and success.

With the introduction of new technical regulations for the 2022 season, the Scuderia Ferrari team had to take a different approach in designing their season competitor. They reviewed each individual element of the car system, and either replaced or optimised them in order to get the highest performance possible from every element. The team also conducted a lot of work into hybrid power systems during the 2021 season and ahead of the 2022 season, in hopes to create a car with the utmost efficiency to dominate the F1 tracks. Many changes were made, particularly to the under workings of the car and the power unit’s packaging had undergone a massive overhaul. The body of the car also underwent changes, improving the aerodynamics of the car as well as featuring the unique sidepods and striking dark red bodywork.

Ferrari had a strong comeback on the F1 tracks during the 2022 season compared to their previous season in 2021. The Scuderia Ferrari team won four races, three of those secured by Leclerc in Bahrain, Australia and Austria, with teammate Carlos Sainz tasting victory in Great Britain. Between them, they secured a further 16 podium finishes and achieved a grand total of 554 points. The F1-75 was driven to second place in the Constructors’ Championship, with Leclerc achieving second place in the Drivers’ Championship with an impressive 308 points. Hoping to celebrate the Ferrari name with the F1-75, the team did just that, with their impressive Championship finishes and further 12 Pole Positions and 5 fastest laps, they were a force to be reckoned with and only consolidated the ‘brave’ Ferrari name in both the cars’ and drivers’ performances.

This 1:5 scale model exquisitely replicates the striking F1-75 that both drivers drove during 2022 season, picking up several victories and proving themselves and the car to be unstoppable forces. Crafted by the Amalgam Collection alongside the Scuderia Ferrari team, this model was designed using the official CAD and paint codes supplied by the racing team themselves, taking over 4500 hours to develop and 450 hours to build each model. Compiled of thousands of precisely engineered parts: castings, photo-etchings and CNC machined metal components and donning the official 2022 liveries and the detailing seen on this car, this Bahrain edition 1:5 scale model is perfect for any F1 fan looking to commemorate the Ferrari name and their strong resurgence in the 2022 season.
