Halos were introduced to F1 in 2018; they were designed to improve the safety of the F1 cars in the event of a collision. Over the years halos have proved their value, protecting the drivers’ heads during high-speed crashes. This reproduction has been hand-crafted by professionals who also make exquisite F1 show cars, so you know that the halo will be authentic to the ones seen on track and are created with the utmost attention to detail. This halo is made from carbon-fibre, which is the same material used by the team themselves, ensuring that you receive a product that is an accurate representation of the original halo.

The 2022 driver line-up for McLaren included Lando Norris, who joined them in 2019, and Daniel Ricciardo who began his journey with the iconic team in 2021. It was a positive year with Norris finishing seventh and Ricciardo finishing in 11th, however only one podium was obtained (by Norris), compared to their previous season which saw them being the only team on the grid to achieve a 1-2 finish (in Italy).

Nevertheless, the 2022 season was an important year. It marked Ricciardo’s final year with the team. It also saw a new era for F1 and F1 cars, with new regulations being brought in which aimed to make the grid more even in terms of performance. 

This halo is manufactured in house by skilled Composite technicians, created with strong and lightweight fibres that are placed in a carbon fibre mould, vacuum sealed and cured in an autoclave.

These halos have been made in house at the F1 Authentics factory in the United Kingdom and have been carefully decorated with the official McLaren liveries.
