Piastri is a long time Alpine junior, as well as F2’s 2021 Champion. At the end of 2022 it was announced that Piastri would be joining the iconic McLaren team in 2023 as a full-time driver. The 2023 Australian Grand Prix was an action-packed race, with multiple collisions, several appearances of safety cars throughout and three red flags. The Grand Prix saw the driver secure points at his home race, finishing 8th – this is the first time Piastri has secured points in Formula 1, making it an unforgettable moment for the driver and his fans to celebrate.
