Valtteri Bottas 2017 'First Win' Mercedes AMG Petronas Print - Russian GP

The 2017 season was Valtteri Bottas' first ever season racing for Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, and he did an outstanding job.

The Finnish driver got the call up at the very start of the season and jumped at the chance. Valtteri had impressed Toto Wolff whilst at Williams, and was even more impressive when he jumped into the W08,

The opening round of the year the Finn was on the podium, in an impressive drive that saw him finish just behind is teammate. 

It only took until the 4th round for Valtteri to take his maiden win - and he did it in style! Starting third on the grid, he managed to overtake both Ferrari's of Vettel and Raikkonen into the first corner. He spent the final third of the race performing a defensive masterclass holding off the very close behind Ferrari's.
