In 1998 Damon Hill chose to join the Silverstone based team and linked up with Ralf Schumacher. During their time together, the team struggled for pace despite having two strong drivers. The car’s reliability proved to cause problems for both drivers and the season ended in dissatisfaction for everyone at Jordan.
Hopes were high going into the 1999 season; however, the story was similar again as the team struggled with reliability. The highlight of the season came at the San Marino Grand Prix, where Hill narrowly missed out on a podium finishing fourth.
