Story

The 2023 Alfa Romeo F1® Team Stake C43 represents the final chapter of Alfa Romeo’s modern Formula 1 story. Raced by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu throughout the 2023 Formula One World Championship, the C43 was the last car to compete under the Alfa Romeo name before the marque’s partnership with Sauber came to an end at the conclusion of the season.

Built in-house by skilled experts at F1 Authentics, this phenomenal Show Car has undergone hundreds of hours of dedication. Through the team’s unwavering commitment to perfection, every step of the build, from using the CAD to developing the correct paint colours to creating the composites, adds to the story of unparalleled artistry.

This official show car recreates the C43 in its striking Las Vegas livery, produced for Formula 1’s highly anticipated return to Las Vegas in November 2023. A distinctive piece from a landmark weekend, the design gives an already significant car an added connection to one of the most memorable events of the season.

The Final Alfa Romeo F1® Season

Driven by ten-time Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas and Chinese racer Zhou Guanyu, the C43 contested all 22 rounds of the 2023 season. The team opened its campaign with a points-scoring performance in Bahrain, where Bottas brought the car home in eighth place, while further top-10 finishes across the year helped Alfa Romeo secure ninth in the Constructors’ Championship with 16 points.

For Bottas, 2023 marked his second season with the Hinwil-based squad following his move from Mercedes, bringing considerable race-winning experience to the team. Alongside him, Zhou completed his second full Formula 1 campaign and continued to establish himself on the grid, contributing six of the team’s championship points.

This particular Show Car may be of strong interest to collectors in Asia, given the presence of Zhou as part of the Alfa Romeo team in 2023. Zhou remains the first, and so far only, F1 driver from China, he contributed six points to the campaign for the team in 2023.

The season also carried additional significance as the conclusion of Alfa Romeo’s six-year association with Sauber. Having first returned to Formula 1 as a title sponsor in 2018 before competing as Alfa Romeo Racing from 2019, the famous Italian marque departed the grid following the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. That makes the C43 the final Formula 1 car to carry the Alfa Romeo name from this era – and an important legacy piece for collectors.

A Standout Las Vegas Livery

For Formula 1’s return to Las Vegas, Alfa Romeo unveiled a special version of the C43’s livery, giving the car a distinctive appearance for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix on the spectacular street circuit.

This official show car captures that one-off identity, combining the unmistakable form of a contemporary Formula 1 machine with a livery tied to both a major moment in the sport’s recent history and Alfa Romeo’s farewell season.

With the team no longer competing under the Alfa Romeo name, examples representing this final-generation C43 have taken on an additional historical significance. Rather than simply recreating a current race car, this show car represents a completed chapter in Formula 1 history.

An exceptional display piece for private collectors, corporate spaces, hospitality venues or motorsport collections, the 2023 Alfa Romeo F1® Team Stake C43 Vegas Livery Show Car offers the presence of a full-scale Formula 1 car alongside a direct connection to the marque’s final season on the grid.

This car is currently located in the UK and is available for immediate dispatch.

Auction Buyers Guide

Our team's primary aims are to source the most unique items for our auctions and to make participating in our online events enjoyable and easy for our buyers. We endeavour to do this whilst offering a personalised service to all.

Step 1: Register to Bid

To register as a bidder, create an account on our account. You'll be asked to provide your credit card details, and a temporary charge will be placed on the account for the duration of the auction to minimise fraudulent accounts from interfering with the bidding process.

Step 2: Place Your Bid

Items at auction may be sold with or without a reserve price, and will be clearly identified as such during the auction.

For a sale to be successful a bid must equal or exceed the reserve. In the event that you are the highest final bidder, but the total bid remains under the reserve price the item will not sell.

Popcorn Bidding: All lots use a 5-minute time extension system. If a bid is placed within the final 5 minutes, the lot’s end time will extend by another 5 minutes. This can continue for up to 24 hours after the original closing time.

Items that are sold without a reserve will be clearly identified as such during the auctions. In their case the highest final bid will always win the item.

Items that do not meet reserve or do not receive any bids will not sell. Upon the closure of the auction these will be removed and managed independently by our specialists. Interested parties are invited to engage with our private sales team to make an offer.

Step 3: Make Payment

We pride ourselves in offering our customers a variety of payment options to satisfy their preferences. Upon conclusion of the auction the F1® Authentics sales platform will automatically issue a payment link to the winning bidder.

Payment is due in full by the end of the first business day following a sale. Proof of payment will be required and requested by our specialists.

Auction hammer price is exclusive of buyer's premium and sales tax, and exclusive of import duties and VAT.

All invoices and payments will be in Great British Pounds (GBP).

Step 4: Lot Shipment

Memento Exclusives operates with several reputable logistics experts. Our partners have experience coordinating the worldwide shipment of valuable and delicate vehicles and collectibles and will ensure products are treated with the utmost care.

Upon conclusion of a sale our specialist will contact the winning bidder to discuss delivery options. Air and sea freight quotes can be produced for items.

Returns & Refunds

Returns & Refunds Policy – Auction Items

All auction sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on any items won at auction.

Each lot is described as accurately as possible, with detailed photographs and specifications provided. By placing a bid, you acknowledge and accept:

  • The item is sold as seen, with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied.
  • No cancellations, returns, or exchanges will be accepted after a bid is placed and the auction has ended.
  • It is the bidder’s responsibility to carefully review the item description, imagery, and any notes regarding condition, provenance, or location prior to placing a bid.
  • Any questions or requests for clarification must be made before the auction ends.

We aim to be fully transparent, and we encourage all bidders to make informed decisions. If additional information is required before bidding, please contact us at: info@f1authentics.com
