This brake disc has been taken from Alpine F1 Team’s archive of components and was likely used during its previous seasons as Renault. Now, re-engineered into a stylish and sleek accessory, this clock will take centre stage in your home or office.
Brake discs are essential; they rotate with the wheel and are clamped together by break pads fitted to the caliper from both sides with additional pressure from the pistons, which in turn creates friction. This then decelerates the rotation of the break disc which therefore slows down and stops the vehicle. Just like in any car, brake discs play an essential part in driver safety in F1 racing.
