The 2023 season saw the Aston Martin arrive at Bahrain with a car on a different level to the previous season. The new year had seen Red Bull take a phenomenal leap forward, but it was the British Racing Green F1 Team that made the biggest leap. Having finished 7th in the Constructor's Championship in the 2022 season, at the start of the season the Silverstone based team had rocketed forward to the second-fastest car.
This piece is a completely unique piece of memorabilia – crafted using a sleek black metal frame, topped with a flat plane of glass to perfectly preserve and present the bodywork of Alonso’s AMR23. The bodywork itself is neither the engine cover, nor the sidepods, but almost a combination of the two. The body-part comes from the continuation of the halo, a part that some have called the ‘shoulders’ as they’re symmetrical round edges, with the protruding engine cover (head) in the middle.
The side-engine cover was a phenomenal piece of engineering that did a lot of work to channel airflow over the AMR23, which was a major contributor to the success of the Aston Martin Aramco’s success.
