Part of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team collection, these race-used gears and layshafts have been stylishly re-engineered into mood lighting for your home.
These gearbox components once changed gear 50 times faster than you can blink on the F1® circuits of the world!
Made from toughened steel and in its original race-used condition, the layshaft forms the stem of the lamp, with the gear ratio as the base - mounted to a moulded carbon fibre plinth. Each one of the 80,000 Mercedes-AMG components which make-up each race car has a unique identification number - and these original part numbers are engraved and on-show on the gear ratio and layshaft.
The 2014 season was an exciting one for the team, with Hamilton securing first place in the Drivers' Championship as well as the team also securing first place in the Constructors' Championship - meaning fans can now own a gear from the unforgettable season for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team. The 2010 season was also a strong one, with the team drivers, Nico Rosberg and seven-time World Champion, Michael Schumacher, placing seventh and ninth place respectively.
Now fans can own car parts taken from two exciting seasons for the team, race driven by the likes of seven-time World Champions, Hamilton and Schumacher, as well as fellow World Champion - Rosberg.
