LOT 150 - Oscar Piastri 2024 Signed Race-Used Helmet - Bahrain GP
Auction Details
Story
F1® Authentics is delighted to be collaborating with Oscar Piastri on this special auction lot, in support of My Room Children’s Cancer Charity. The McLaren F1® driver has signed his official race worn helmet from the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix and made this available for one lucky collector to own, with all proceeds provided to the charity from his native Australia.
Race-used F1® driver helmets are incredibly rare collectibles, and this is especially true with Oscar Piastri, who does not usually make these items available for purchase. This is an exceptional opportunity for a collector to add a genuine Piastri helmet to their collection, made even more sought after considering his remarkable success this season.
The Helmet
The Bahrain GP marked the season opener in 2024 and the start of Piastri’s second season with McLaren F1® Team. Finishing eighth and in the points, the Australian ace kick started what would turn out to be an unforgettable season. His first victory in F1® came at the Hungarian Grand Prix and was followed by another in Azerbaijan. Now, in 2025, he is fighting for his first World title and solidifying his place as one of the finest competitors of the modern era.
This helmet features a striking palette of blue, red and yellow, complimenting McLaren's team colours and paying homage to Piastri’s Australian heritage, further exemplified with the national flag prominently illustrated. The top of the helmet displays Piastri's race number, #81, alongside his personal logo and name elegantly placed around the side. Notable sponsors are well-integrated into the design, including Monster Energy's logo on the top/side above the visor and the Android logo (featuring its recognisable robot) clearly visible on the chin area.
The blue base of the helmet is accented with fluorescent yellow and vivid red highlights, giving the helmet a dynamic, eye-catching appearance. Overlaying these base colours are intricate geometric motifs, shapes and subtle lines, all adding depth and motion to the design. This ensures the helmet retains a futuristic edge, visible from every angle.
The Cause
The decision to donate the race-used 2024 Bahrain International Circuit race helmet has been made to raise funds directly for a cause close to the driver's heart. Earlier this year, Piastri became an ambassador for My Room, the Australian children’s cancer charity that is volunteer-led and dedicated to supporting families impacted by cancer; while funding vital services and research to bring hope to young patients and their loved ones. Every penny raised by this helmet on F1® Authentics Austin GP Auction will go towards supporting this worthy cause.
On supporting the charity through the F1® Authentics Auction, Oscar Piastri said,
“It’s a pleasure to donate my 2024 Bahrain GP race helmet from my personal collection to raise funds for My Room, the children’s cancer charity in Australia, that I am a proud ambassador for. I hope that it will prove a popular item and a significant sum can be generated to go directly towards the tremendous work that My Room does, supporting children and their families in any way they can.
My thanks go to F1 Authentics for their support with all the organisation and I can’t wait for the auction to go live on the 7th of October.”
Margaret Zita OAM, CEO of My Room commented,
“We are incredibly grateful to Oscar, not only for standing with us as a My Room Children’s Cancer Charity Ambassador, but for donating something so personal and significant. This will raise vital funds to support families, fund critical clinical care, and invest in research that drives better treatments and outcomes, whilst shining a light on the challenges families face every day. By parting with such a rare helmet, Oscar is giving fans a chance to own something extraordinary and use his platform to bring much needed awareness to our cause. It’s a powerful reminder to every family we support that they are never alone.”
The Opportunity
For one lucky collector, this is a unique chance to become the owner of a genuine race-used Oscar Piastri helmet; an incredibly rare item from one of the most exciting and successful drivers of the modern era.
To make this even more special, the visor has been signed by Piastri himself, making this an even rarer example amongst the handful of helmets he has made available.
This race-used helmet is being sold as part of F1® Authentics’ Austin GP Auction commencing on 7th October 2025 and closing following the United Stated Grand Prix on 21st October 2025.

Auction Buyers Guide
Our team's primary aims are to source the most unique items for our auctions and to make participating in our online events enjoyable and easy for our buyers. We endeavour to do this whilst offering a personalised service to all.
Step 1: Register to Bid
To register as a bidder, create an account on our account. You'll be asked to provide your credit card details, and a temporary charge will be placed on the account for the duration of the auction to minimise fraudulent accounts from interfering with the bidding process.
Step 2: Place Your Bid
Items at auction may be sold with or without a reserve price, and will be clearly identified as such during the auction.
For a sale to be successful a bid must equal or exceed the reserve. In the event that you are the highest final bidder, but the total bid remains under the reserve price the item will not sell.
Items that are sold without a reserve will be clearly identified as such during the auctions. In their case the highest final bid will always win the item.
Items that do not meet reserve or do not receive any bids will not sell. Upon the closure of the auction these will be removed and managed independently by our specialists. Interested parties are invited to engage with our private sales team to make an offer.
Step 3: Make Payment
We pride ourselves in offering our customers a variety of payment options to satisfy their preferences. Upon conclusion of the auction the F1® Authentics sales platform will automatically issue a payment link to the winning bidder.
Payment is due in full by the end of the first business day following a sale. Proof of payment will be required and requested by our specialists.
Auction hammer price is exclusive of buyer's premium and sales tax, and exclusive of import duties and VAT.
All invoices and payments will be in Great British Pounds (GBP).

Memento Exclusives operates with several reputable logistics experts. Our partners have experience coordinating the worldwide shipment of valuable and delicate vehicles and collectibles and will ensure products are treated with the utmost care.
