Our ever-popular Own The Chequered Flag initiative is back and giving you the chance yet again to add your name to a square of the famous flag which dates back to the beginning of the sport’s history.
The chequered flag has been synonymous of F1 and motorsport for decades, having been used to signal the ends of races since the early 1900s. Although its origins are disputed, it was likely chosen for its visibility against varying background and for those going at high speeds.
For F1, the chequered flag has been used since 1950 - when F1 began. As the years have gone on, it has come to symbolise the crowning moments and the culmination of the excitement and thrilling on-track battles between the world’s greatest drivers.

Good solid product. Echo comments on here. Would be nice to see the whole flag ahead of it being cut and seeing the patch before it’s removed. The photo would be better to see some names on it like the ‘23 Monaco pic, for instance. Overall pleased with it.
Very pleased with this. Looks great and arrived promptly after the race.
Disappointed that I was required to pay another fee before it would be delivered, considering I had already paid shipping.
However I am envious and will buy one with my name on it next year.
Incredible gift, In the photo of the checkered flag being waved as George Russell takes first, we can see our name on the the flag. I wish F1 Mementos would sell a photo picture of our NAMES on the Flag as a separate memento. LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

Got this for my dad’s birthday and honestly, it’s incredible. He’s a massive F1 fan, and to have his name on the actual chequered flag from the Canadian Grand Prix, especially that race with all the late drama.. it just makes it so meaningful.
The quality is unreal. The frame, the photo, the flag square with his name on it, every bit of it is done to such a high standard. It looks and feels like a proper premium piece. The certificate of authenticity is a really nice touch too, and the whole order process was spot on. Arrived when they said it would, well packaged, no issues at all.
It’s such a thoughtful gift and something my dad will treasure. Honestly, I wouldn’t think twice about getting another one in future. Can’t recommend it enough!
