Las Vegas Grand Prix
Las Vegas Strip Circuit
The Las Vegas Grand Prix represents Formula 1®'s return to one of the world's most famous sporting and entertainment destinations. While Las Vegas previously hosted Formula 1® races in 1981 and 1982 at Caesars Palace, the modern Las Vegas Strip Circuit made its debut in 2023, bringing the championship back to the city for the first time in more than four decades.
At 6.201km, the Las Vegas Strip Circuit is one of the longest layouts on the Formula 1® calendar, featuring 17 corners and a 1.9km flat-out section along the Las Vegas Strip. The anti-clockwise street circuit combines long straights with tight corners and heavy braking zones, creating opportunities for overtaking while placing particular importance on straight-line speed and tyre temperature management. With the race held on Saturday night, the cars run beneath the lights of some of Las Vegas' most recognisable landmarks, including the Bellagio, Caesars Palace and The Venetian.
The first two editions of the modern race have already produced two very different winners. Max Verstappen took victory in the inaugural 2023 event after a race-long battle with Charles Leclerc, while George Russell dominated from pole position in 2024 to claim his third Formula 1® victory. The 2024 race also saw Verstappen secure his fourth Drivers' Championship, finishing fifth to put the title beyond Lando Norris's reach. In 2025, Verstappen returned to the top step, becoming the first driver to win the modern Las Vegas Grand Prix twice.
Now in 2027, Formula 1® returns to the Las Vegas Strip for another night-time Grand Prix through the heart of the city. The event has quickly become one of the championship's most distinctive weekends, combining high-speed racing with the unmistakable backdrop and atmosphere of Las Vegas. With Formula 1® now committed to racing in the city through 2037, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to remain a major fixture on the calendar for years to come.
